| Day 1 |
Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport. Our hosts will meet us
outside customs and transport us to the New Arusha Hotel (a 45
minute drive). This is a colonial times hotel who's guests
included Ernest Hemingway and John Wayne, and has recently been
totally renovated into a lovely oasis in the center of the city. |
| Day 2 |
Breakfast and then a short pre-safari briefing with our
drivers and guides at 9am. Drive to
Kirurumu
Tented camp where we will check in and have lunch
2000 feet above the Great Rift Valley. The tents are
permanent structures with concrete floors and thatched roofs,
and each has its own shower, toilet, sink, electricity and a
deck overlooking the valley. After lunch we will take our
first game drive in
Lake Manyara National Park which lies in the valley
just below the camp. We will return to Kirurumu for a gourmet
dinner. |
| Day 3 |
After breakfast travel to the
mobile camp where we will check in and have lunch. After
lunch there will be a game drive At this time of year the
largest concentration of wildebeests congregate south of the
Serengeti National Park. During this time it is estimated
that 8000 wildebeests are born each day in this area.
Since there is just one lodge in this section of the eco-system,
we stay in a mobile camp in the heart of the migration. |
| Day 4-5 |
All day game drive in the Ngorongoro
Conservation Area. Overnight at the mobile camp near Ndutu Safari Lodge. Each person has the option of going
out all day for game viewing with a picnic lunch, or returning
to the camp for a few hours of R&R in the middle of the day.

After check out, and all day game drive to
Seronera Lodge
or Mbuzi Mawe tented camp
in the heart of the Serengeti National Park (picnic lunch on the
way). |
| Day 7-8 |
All day game drives in the Serengeti National Park.
Overnight at the Seronera Lodge or Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp. Each person has the option of
going out all day for game viewing with a picnic lunch, or
returning to the lodge for a few hours of R&R in the middle of
the day. The 3 vehicles do not need to stay together,

| Day 9 |
After breakfast we will look for game as we drive to one of
the most significant origin of man archeological sites in the
world. At Olduvai Gorge, the Leakeys uncoverered traces of man's
predecessors from 2.3 million years ago. After a lecture
and viewing the museum we will travel on to the
Ngorogoro Wildlife
Lodge
at the Ngorongoro Crater. |
| Day 10 |
Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater (Africa's Eden).
Overnight at the
Ngorogoro Wildlife
Lodge. |
| Day 11 |
After breakfast drive to the Mt Meru Game Sanctuary that
sits between Arusha and the airport. |
| Day 12 |
Day room at the Mt Meru Game Sanctuary including breakfast
and lunch and leave for airport around 6pm for return flight. |

| Day 1 - Day 2 |
Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport. Our
hosts will meet us outside customs and transport us to the
Mt.
Meru Game Sanctuary for dinner and overnight. The lodge is
located on 33 acres of mature, well manicured gardens bounded on
one side by the tranquil waters of the Usa river and on the
other by the Animal Sanctuary where resident animals and birds
live in peace. The lodge consists of 17 double rooms with
verandahs. This location provides a great way to decompress from
the long flights, and on day 2 we will take a cultural walk
through the town of Usa River and visit the school project being
supported by Acacia Photography travelers. |
| Day 3 |
Breakfast and then a short pre-safari briefing with our
drivers and guides at 8:30am. First stop is a gocery store
where you may purchase beverages of choice. Drive to
Kirurumu
Tented camp where we will check in and have lunch
2000 feet above the Great Rift Valley. The tents are
permanent structures with concrete floors and thatched roofs,
and each has its own shower, toilet, sink, electricity and a
deck overlooking the valley. After lunch we will take our
first game drive in
Lake Manyara National Park which lies in the valley

Photo shoot of the sun rising over the
Great Rift Valley behind a baobab tree. After sunrise, return to
Lake Manyara National Park for a couple hours, and then back to
Kirirumu for a late breakfast. Travel to the
Ndutu Safari Lodge where we will check in and have
lunch. After lunch there is a choice of a game drive or a
walking safari (with a ranger) for those that want to experience
the African bush on foot. |
| Day 5 - 6 |
All day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Overnight
at the Ndutu Safari Lodge. Each person has the option of going
out all day for game viewing with a picnic lunch, or returning
to the lodge for a few hours of R&R in the middle of the day.

After check out, and all day game drive to
a luxury mobile camp
in the heart of the Serengeti National Park (picnic lunch on the
way). Experience and hear the true Serengeti from your luxury
tent that provides real beds, an airline like toilet, running
water, and a shower. |
| Day 8-9 |
All day game drives in the Serengeti National Park.
Overnight at the Mobile Camp. Each person has the option of
going out all day for game viewing with a picnic lunch, or
returning to the lodge for a few hours of R&R in the middle of

1/2 day Game drive in the Ngorongoro
Crater (Africa's Eden), then drive to Hatari Lodge for our last
night. The lodge where the John Wayne's Hitari was filmed
provides wonderful views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru (on
clear days). |
| Day 12 |
Day room at the Hitari Lodge including breakfast
and lunch and leave for airport around 6pm for return flight. |
